About the role

We are seeking an Automation & Process Engineer for a 3 month fixed term contract.

What you'll do?

• Develop and maintain automated workflows utilizing platforms such as n8n/Zapier, connecting critical business systems including Salesforce, HubSpot, Shopify, Xero, Google Sheets, and Slack.
• Ensure data integrity and consistency across all systems through data consolidation initiatives, focusing on unique identifiers and essential attributes.
• Architect robust integrations designed for automated data transfer between platforms, incorporating comprehensive error handling mechanisms.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and process bottlenecks across departments and implement automated solutions to eliminate manual interventions.
• Perform root cause analysis for integration failures and conduct performance optimisation of existing workflows.
• Engage with APIs, encompassing documentation review, endpoint testing, and management of authentication protocols.
• Implement AI-driven automation strategies to facilitate faster, data-informed decision-making.
• Write and maintain JavaScript code within low-code tooling environments.
• Document all established workflows and manage automation updates in alignment with evolving business requirements.

What you'll need

Essential Requirements

• Production experience with n8n, Zapier, or similar automation platforms.
• Deep understanding of APIs, webhooks, and SaaS integrations.
• Ability to interpret complex API documentation and troubleshoot integration issues.
• Solid grasp of business processes and workflow design.
• Knowledge of data flow, advanced error handling, and retry logic.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets formulas; foundational SQL knowledge is a plus.
• Capacity to map complex processes, gather requirements from non-technical stakeholders, and articulate technical constraints.
• Demonstrated self-direction to deliver and iterate on functional solutions.
• Practical experience writing JavaScript for workflow automation.
• Experience with complex data mapping and managing JSON structures.
  
  

Desirable Attributes

• Experience with data transformation processes (ETL/ELT).
• Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics Business Central).
• Experience integrating with payment platforms or e-commerce systems.
• Background in finance system integrations.
• Experience within B2B retail environments.
• Prior experience in B2B operations.
