About the team

You’ll report to the Chief Operating Officer. You’ll work closely with our CEO and Co-founder team, and the wider finance team.

From accounting and compliance to forecasting and analysis, we proactively support every team within the business and play a key role in achieving our mission. 

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Head of Finance to closely support our leadership team, and support the business through its next phase of growth. 

This is a highly strategic and hands-on role with end-to-end ownership across financial planning, forecasting, and commercial performance tracking across the business, with ownership of the company’s core financial model, and key revenue and cost forecasting processes. The role supports decision-making by providing forward-looking financial insights, scenario analysis, and performance tracking across revenue, bookings, and costs. 


You’ll collaborate across all functions — including Finance, People, Legal, Creative, Buying & Merchandising, Sales, Customer Success, and Support.

What you'll do?

  • Oversee the Finance operations team. 
  • Lead all Commercial Finance activities, working closely with the COO. 
  • Manage the annual budgeting and forecasting processes end to end. 
  • Financial modelling. Prepare detailed financial models to support final decision making. Conduct complex data analysis and detailed research that results in informed recommendations for our teams and leaders. 
  • Keep us on track. Implement, track and interpret key metrics. Ensure leadership has the most relevant information to understand business performance and make recommendations to ensure the business remains on track to achieve its financial objectives. 
  • Act as business partner for Leadership team and senior management, acting as primary Finance POC, offering financial guidance and driving desired financial outcomes. 
  • Work closely with the Finance Operations team to manage the monthly P&L, monitor cash flow and burn. Review of monthly financial close output. 
  • Respond to ad hoc financial requests from investors, banks, and leadership, covering models, forecasts, and scenario analysis to support fundraising and financing discussions. 
  • Run monthly accruals and quarterly payout calculations for Sales and AM teams, covering input validation, structure alignment, lead sign-off, and payroll-ready outputs. 
  • Innovate. Don’t settle for the status quo and help us create and implement finance process, policy and control improvements. 
  • We’re growing so expect to get involved with some exciting ongoing projects and other ad hoc tasks in a fast paced startup environment.

What you'll need

  • Strong hands-on accounting knowledge and expertise with 7-10 years’ experience working in a fast-paced commercial finance role 
  • Extensive experience supporting non-finance stakeholders (eg Sales, People, Creative) by providing clear, actionable insights and ensuring alignment with company-wide processes, objectives, and driving cross-functional alignment through proactive information sharing and input collection 
  • Strong commercial awareness and business understanding 
  • Experience in the tech/software or retail industry, and in a startup environment is a plus (but not essential) 
  • Experienced managing people or a team 
  • Experienced in challenging the status quo 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Excellent computer and IT skills including Microsoft Excel (or Google Sheets)
